The Cyclone is a NEW concept in animal cooling for those hot summer days. This Variable Horizontal Ventilator (VHV) is designed specifically for wide buildings with high ceilings.   Mounted on its own post or on an existing post*, the Cyclone can be placed where it will be the most effective.  By placing the Cyclone over the animal instead of over the center feed alley, you increase animal comfort without causing haylage to dry prematurely.  *(Must be engineered approved)

As illustrated in the diagram, the VHV Cyclone creates a downward air displacement.  This high velocity air movement has a greater impact on a larger surface because it does not encounter any restrictions before reaching the animals further from the Cyclone.

Since the VHV produces a downward air flow and not a horizontal air flow, the animals do not tend to group around the Cyclone.  Grouping is mostly the results of a small comfort zone, where animals compete for the cooler space.  This is often associated with basket fans or ceiling fans.   By ensuring that your entire building is a comfort zone, your animals' benefit from the cooling without competing.
